Friends of The SoPac Trail,

One of our favorite times of the year is coming soon to the SoPac Pollinator Garden. Every year, millions of monarch butterflies travel thousands of miles from their breeding grounds in North America to their wintering sites in Mexico. According to Master Naturalist experts, we anticipate their arrival in the SoPac Pollinator Garden in about a week. Two outliers were spotted yesterday in the garden. The garden contains two sizeable Frostweed plants full of blooms, providing necessary food for the Monarch migration.

We reported the sightings to Journey North, the website that tracks the Monarch migration…follow along! Come out and enjoy the garden full of Monarchs this time next week!
