Bring on the Shade
THANK YOU FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE SOPAC TRAIL
AND FROM ALL WHO USE THE SOPAC TRAIL
The long-awaited SoPac Trail Respite Area shade structure has finally arrived, and none too soon considering the record temperatures we are experiencing. With that in mind, The Friends of the SoPac Trail would like to recognize all those who donated to this effort.
Thanks to the following people for their contributions: Claudia Alexander, Nancy Bender, Chelsea Carpenter, Joseph DeCosta, Leslie Densmore, Sarah Fry, Brenda Gardner, Erin Johnson, Christina LaFleur, Mark Lambert, Kay Nettles, David Pate, David Reneau, Ramon and Rosemary Rincon, Felix and Maggie Saucedo, Michael Seay, Jamie Somerville, Lindsey and Josh Smith, Drew Vanderbrook and Tony Vedda and Greg Wallace and our anonymous contributors.
We would like to give special acknowledgement and thanks to Greg MacDonald, Jill and Larry Hance, and Nathan Counts for their generosity and especially to Philip Stoelman for his overwhelming donation and unwavering support.
We would also like to recognize Lyda Hill Philanthropies, Lakewood Trails Neighborhood Association and White Rock Neighborhood Association for their financial support.
We are grateful for our partnership with Dallas Parks & Recreation, Maria Hasbany, Park Board Representative District 9, The Loop Dallas and The Dallas Foundation which was vital to ensuring the project’s success in facilitating donations and project installation.
We look forward to continuing to enhance the trail we all love in the days ahead. To stay in the loop, please follow us below or visit friendsofthesopactrail.org.
