LET’S THROW SOME SHADE ON THE SOPAC TRAIL
Friends of The SoPac Trail is a not-for-profit organization of individuals and neighborhood associations committed to the support and development of the projects that improve The SoPac Trail. After seeking community feedback, FOTST is working to purchase a 14x14 shade umbrella structure for the SoPac Trail Respite Area. The board accepted a bid for the structure at a cost of $16,500.
In partnership with The LOOP Dallas and Dallas Parks & Recreation and sponsored by Lyda Hill Philanthropies, Lakewood Trails and White Rock Neighborhood Associations we have been able to generate a current total of $13,500.
We are currently looking for sponsors and individual donors willing to help raise the final $2,500 to meet our goal. Can we count on you?
If you would like to support this effort, you can scan the QR code below or click HERE. Contributions to the Friends of the SoPac Trail are administered by The Dallas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations are tax deductible.
Installation is scheduled for this spring….just in time for the heat! 🔥And as many of you who used the trail this past summer know, the heat was especially intense. This structure will provide a welcomed amenity for trail users at the drinking fountain and seating area near the Butterfly Respite Garden. A welcomed respite for all.
You should take pride in knowing that as a member of our community your support in the past has made all these trail amenities possible. If it wasn’t for you, none of this would have been accomplished. We hope that we can count on your continued support.
THANK YOU.
