DALLAS PARKS & RECREATION - Partial Closure

On August 8, 2022, there will be partial closures of the SoPac Trail from Tokalon Dr. to Northwest Highway. Arbor Masters will be raising trees lines over sidewalks, paved trails, and adjacent mowed turf areas along the trail. There will also be a 3-foot cutback from guard rails along the trail. Localized sections of the trail will be closed while work is occurring during the morning and afternoon but will reopen when work is done each day. Dallas Parks & Recreation anticipates this work will take approximately 3 - 6 days.

POLLINATOR GARDEN

We had a great few months planting and gardening at the SoPac Butterfly Garden. Thank you to all the neighbors and friends who helped plant the new native pollinator plants from the Texas Discovery Garden. These plants were purchased from a Native Plant Society of Texas “Bring Back the Monarchs grant.” Everyone has worked very hard, including some of our younger neighbors. It has been wonderful to watch our beautiful garden flourish

VOLUNTEER & DONATIONS

This fall FOTST will be launching several volunteer and donation projects in partnership with The Circuit Trail Conservancy “The Loop” including Fisher Wildflower Meadow and Graffiti Clean Up. Stay tuned…

***Special thanks to Larry DeBoever, our esteemed photographer.
